LoRa Backscatter Communications: Temporal, Spectral, and Error Performance Analysis

LB communication systems can be considered as a potential candidate for ultra LPWAN because of their low cost and power consumption. In this paper, we comprehensively analyze modulation from various aspects, i.e., temporal, spectral, error performance characteristics. First, propose signal model signals that accounts the limited number loads in tag. Then, investigate spectral properties signals, obtaining closed-form expression spectrum. Finally, derived SER with two decoders, ML FFT both AWGN double Nakagami-m fading channels. The analysis shows out-of-band emissions satisfy ETSI regulation only when considering relatively large loads. For performance, unlike conventional LoRa, decoder is not optimal.
